Located near Carmel Point, this top-to-bottom remodel celebrates the timeless charm of a classic Carmel cottage while introducing fresh, personalized details throughout the home. Original architectural elements — including the iconic steam-bent cedar shingle rooflines and authentic Carmel stone — were carefully preserved to honor the home’s historic character and coastal setting. The client’s love of color inspired vibrant layers of pattern, fabrics, and tile selections woven throughout the interiors, bringing energy and individuality to each space. One of the home’s most meaningful custom details is the powder room vanity, crafted from a piece of cypress reclaimed from a fallen tree on the property, creating a unique connection between the home and its natural surroundings.
